Hi Reader, .... I am so excited to share my first virtual gallery exhibition 'Golden Days' with you! This is a collection of 28 of my textile art pieces, representing my work during the period 2014 - 2019. This has been on my wish list for quite some time and now it is open on my website! While many of the works have been included in exhibitions over the years, it is very special for me to see them all hanging together. This work is an important part of my art story. Working with fabric and stitch offers a different sensibility to colour and texture, something that has flowed through to my recent mixed media paintings. I hope you will dive into the 'virtual' world and enjoy the gallery experience I have created. Here is a link or QR code that will take you there .....
Upcoming ExhibitionsThe virtual exhibition is not the only one I have been working on recently! Circle of Five Art have an upcoming exhibition in Sydney at Gallery 371, Enmore Rd, Marrickville from 27 September to 9 October... The group decided on 'Rhythm' as the theme for this exhibition - so you can expect to see a diversity of interpretations in the show. My collection of work for the exhibition is a series of abstract paintings inspired by 'Breath' - the rhythm of life ..... This is one of the works that will be included. There will be an informal opening on Saturday 30 September from 1 - 3 pm and I will be sitting in the Gallery from 11 - 4pm on Wednesday 4 and Thursday 5 October and would love to see you have the opportunity to visit .... That is all from me this month - I still have much to do before the Sydney show opens! Thank you for reading, your time and support are much appreciated .... Please feel free to share this email with anyone your think may be interested.
